Since then, however, we have expanded from just posting live music events to hosting live music events ourselves. Creating a stronger sense of community within the Houston music scene is a part of our mission, so we strive to bring together musicians and music lovers alike...

The Full-Circle Journey of differentchris

Different Chris, an indie-rock artist who began making music at 13, always knew he wanted to turn his childhood dream into reality. He began his journey by creating tracks in his room and uploading them to SoundCloud. When asked how he got the name Different Chris, he explained, “I don’t really know; I just liked it and thought it looked nice. ‘Chris’ is such a simple name, and I wanted to be different, so when I had to select a username, I just came up with it.”

Houston Celebrates Worldwide Day of Music

Since its launch in France in 1982 as the Fête de la Musique (meaning both “festival of music” and “make music”), the event has grown to span more than 2,000 cities in 120 countries.
